Gorgeous hotel with fine views! The breakfast was delicious, and the bed was super comfy. Marco and his fiancé were so helpful, giving great dinner recommendations. The walk down to Montepertuso was lovely, and each step was worth it for the views!

Greatly enjoyed my really enjoyable time here!
The hotel staff was so hospitable and extremely helpful. It was based in neat building in a perfect location, in the mountain.

The views were fine but getting to the room was a workout, thanks to the daunting 398 stairs! The internet connection was abysmal and almost non-existent, unacceptable in this day and age. I also expected some sort of complimentary gesture for all the trouble, but apparently that's too much to ask for, so I just couldn't give a higher rating.

This place has offered us a unique experience that is similar to nowhere. It is located at the high up on the mountain. As me and my friend are budget traveller, we did not rent a car but take a bus from the bus stop near port of Positano instead. From there, we need to take the bus to Montepertuso and get off in front of La Tagliata restaurant. Walking few minutes up the hills should take us to reach the entrance of the house. After the entrance, we need to follow a pathway which are full of staircases and the house is located at the even higher part of the hills. Although climbing the staircases are a bit tiring but we enjoy the magnificient scenery we can see on the pathway. The house has a nice interior and all rooms have a balcony facing the sea. At the day we leave, we have happened to miss the bus back to the port of Positano. As the bus service between the port and Montepertuso is not that frequent, if we wait for the next bus, we will miss the train to Rome. Fortunately, the house owner offered us a ride to the port and that really save our day. We appreciate that very much :D

Property was silent and incredibly beautiful, we greatly enjoyed this place.
the place was clean and staff was amazing friendly. double room was relaxing and well-appointed had hypoallergenic pillows. the breakfast with cappuccino and cakes was very very good, had so much to choose from. the hotel was in a remote setting on a cliff. further, it was close to montepertuso, the " jungle " and including the '' path of the gods ''.

Colle dell'Ara is a hidden gem! I was greeted by amazing views of Positano and the coastline. I had a good experience with Marco, who was accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast selection was excellent, with fresh omelettes, various pastries, and local fruits from their garden. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, made my evenings relaxing. The terrace was perfect for enjoying morning coffee while soaking in the sun and the views. Reaching the accommodation proved quite challenging. The climb up 398 steep steps after a day in Positano can be daunting. The infrequent bus service also added some difficulty in accessing the town, often leaving me waiting longer than expected. Lastly, I noticed the Wi-Fi connection in the room was somewhat unstable, which could be an inconvenience for anyone needing to stay connected during their trip.

I had amazing stay, the place is silent!
The room was squeaky clean and contemporary and included an electric kettle, a fridge, and an oven. The breakfast was exceptional and I really enjoyed that they offered cereals and fruit. The location of the property was stunning and fantastic, on the hillside.

The view, the staff, the experience and the atmosphere were all above expectations. Quite the exhilarating experience. The walk up and down the hillside was good exercise for this couple in our late sixties.

Everything is wonderful and perfect. The room, the view, the breakfast and the wonderful dinner prepared by Marco and Pascuale's father. Marco and Pascuale are very nice and sweet and very helpful. The difficulty of climbing up the hill increases the delight of finding it so beautiful and home-like. It's the best hotel I've ever stayed in during my trip to Europe. I will definitely come back!!

We had a fantastic 4 nights at Colle Dell'Ara! The views from our Double Room with Balcony and Sea View were beautiful, and Marco and Paisia treated us like family. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh local fruits and good pastries. It was a joy to enjoy our morning coffee while soaking in the fine panorama of Positano.
The climb back to the hotel can be quite tiring after a long day.

The staff were amazing! Marco and Pasquale were fantastic hosts and couldn't do enough to help. The views over Positano were spectacular and well worth the climb up the steps! The room was good with balcony views over Positano and the mountains. The evening meal cooked by Marco and Pasquale's father was wonderful made from home grown vegetables, great food, wine and homemade Limoncello all served by our lovely hosts Marco and Pasquale. Breakfast was leisurely and plentiful with fantastic cappuccinos to start our day. Marco and Pasquale arranged a free taxi service to the local restaurants with a return service after our meal. The local restaurants were fantastic and highly recommended. A perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast. Can't wait to go back next year!

It is in a beautiful setting, but difficult to get to. It is almost at the top of the mountain in Montepertuso, Positano, and to get to the villa one must hike in about a 1/4 mile.
The hike in was doable, but getting to town or the beach or a restaurant took quite a bit of effort, time and/or money. Also, we were under the impression when we booked the room that we would have a bathroom in our room. Instead we had a bathroom down the all that was very moldy!!!
